Extensive renovations have been designed as a phased project approach to the existing two(2) story building structure. Detailed phasing and demolition plans were developed to document construction activities within the existing building during operation. These plans articulated existing construction assemblies and extent of removal. All work was planned and executed to keep facilities operational throughout the project life-cycle. Redevelopment of the dealership included the following program areas: Showroom, Administrative Offices, Parts Storage and Service Bays.

We believe in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment directly relates to increased productivity. Polestar CM will not compromise the health or safety of any personnel involved in our projects. Our proactive approach to safety allows us to identify, mitigate or eliminate workplace health and safety hazards before they become issues. The Health and Safety services we provide are tailored to educate companies and the workforce on safety throughout the construction process:
  • Contractor Safety Management through regular site inspections for project safety compliance in accordance with authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Provide organizations with the expertise, experience and assistance to meet Occupational Health and Safety requirements though company policy and consultation.
  • Safety audits for health and safety compliance according to the Ontario Health and Safety Association (OHSA). Polestar CM tracks and maintains project safety statistics for both Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and Overall lost-time frequency Rate (LTFR) monthly through our comprehensive health and safety compliance reports.
  • Development and implementation of Site Specific Safety Management Plans and Pre-Project Hazard Assessments

Once our Superintendents are assigned to a project, they execute the full scope from tender to completion. This provides owners, consultants and subcontractors with a single point of contact throughout the life of the project. This relationship establishes a foundation of communication, simplifies decisions and ensures accountability on behalf of Polestar CM Inc. All of our Superintendents are responsible for each aspect of construction including: client relations, site safety, planning, scheduling, risk assessment, quality control, supplier and subcontractor coordination, purchasing, supervision, layout and contract administration.
